La Carnita

Tortilla Chips ($13) From left to right: Mezcal Chipotle Paté (chicken liver), Guacamole, Sikil Pak (pumpkin seed)

Who Shot Ya ($10) 2oz Bulleit Bourbon, Jumaica Syrup, Ginger Syrup, lemon juice

Pollo Frito ($5) Peanut mole sacue, pickled green cabbage & salsa fresca

Red & Green Chroizo ($5) Housemade chorizo, mango salsa, pickled onion, quesco cotija & cilantro

In Cod We Trust ($5) Voltron sacue, lime crema, pickled red cabbage, green apple & cilantro

Carne Asada ($5) Skirt steak, queso añejo, lettuce, salsa verde

Chirros ($5) housemade cajeta

 

Dinner at @la_carnita tonight w/ @qinn @citrusblack. A bit of a hit and miss (churros were my biggest let down, first they were undercooked, second batch was better but some were still slightly under) but can't wait to come back. Great start to a forever popup :) To their credit, it was the grand opening, so like any restaurant it's not surprising that there were a few bumps in the road.

Another night with great food and friends. Can't complain at all :)
