Flour
My first pastry cookbook! I've been baking from this book for the past week and love it!(cc @jbchang)
So many amazing recipes in this book, every recipe has a small story behind it! Very well written, and great for beginners since techniques are well explained.
I've had this for less than a week, and I've already pre-odered Flour Too.

HexBright
1.5 years after funding my first Kickstarter project, I recevied my @HexBright Flex. It's a flashlight. It was worth the wait. Absolutely fantastic light outpout, weather sealed, and great construction. It's an open source flashlight, meaning you can program it to have other kinds of outputs, such as flash S.O.S. or have a different bightnesses, you can also incorporate the built in accelerometer.
I love my double D Maglite, but it's big and heavy (good if you need to beat someone down with it) but not a everyday flashlight. The HexBright has earned a place in my day bag.

More Bread
I think I'm finally understanding why people love baking bread. There's just something about it, working with your hands with simple ingredients like flour, water, yeast, and salt, and letting time do it's job.
More ciabatta, this time a lot closer to what I'm looking for. The right texture, color, and flavour, gotta keep at it :)

Beastwich
Heading to Dublin #DUB for this week's #beastwich @beastrestaurant. #GoodEats
Reminds me a lot of what I ate as a kid. I grew up in a Chinese household, but I had phase where all I wanted to eat was Guinness braised beef with colcannon (cabbage, with potato mash, and ham). Love it, I think I'm going to make some tonight :)
Sandwich: Guinness Braised Cumbrae's Beef with Cabbage and Aged Cheddar. Side: Colcannon (Potato and Kale). Dessert: Chocolate Potato Cake

Bread!
Not bad for my first homemade loaf of bread. It's actually kind of fun, lots to learn, and the house smells wonderful! Now to start growing a starter :)

Brunch!
Finally made it to @la_carnita for brunch with @chieunghi, and you should too! #GoodEats
Up until recently, La Carnita was dinner only, in the past few weeks they began serving Sunday brunch from 11am to 3pm. As always, there is a lot of good food! (Menu at the bottom)
I honestly can't remember the last time I had brunch, it might have been 2 or 3 years ago. But if this is any indication of what's to come at La Carnita, you can bank on it that I'll be back soon.
It also happen to be Fortuna Mezcal week in Toronto, and the last event was held at La Carnita during brunch. If you had your "passport", you got a free cocktail! (Thanks Andrew!).
Potato & Yucca Homies (Hash): Beef Cheek, Green Onions, Salsa Fresca, Pickled Jalapeños, Oaxaca Cheese, Fried Egg ($7.00 + $1.00 for egg)
A special for the day featuring Fortuna Mezcal, definately one of my favorite items. If I wasn't stuffed from everything else, I would have ordered seconds!
French Toast: Bacon, Banana Puree, Macerated Blueberries, and Fortuna Mezcal Maple Syrup ($6.00)
Lamb Bacon and Eggs Taco: Eggs, Lamb Bacon, & Habanero Sauce ($4.75)
Crispy Chicken Torta: Guacamole, Crema, Habanero Honey Glaze, Salsa Fresca ($5.75)
Roasted Pork Belly Sope: Roasted Pork Belly, Poached Egg, Arbol Lime Hollandaise, & Chicharrón ($5.75)
A drink special for Fortuna Mezcal week. I could drink this all day long...This also might be the earliest I ever had a drink lol.
Agua Loca: Mezcal, Carpano, Orange and Lemmon Juice, Hibiscus, Agave, Soda

Porchetta and Co.
Nick does it again @PorchettaAndCo with a lobster mac and cheese sammy! #GoodEats
Went down to Porchetta and Co for their Saturday breakfast sandwich and a side of beans (it's been a while since I had them, so I had some craving to fulfill), when I ordered, Vicky (Nick's wife) kept looking up at the board on the side...oh hey new special, gotta try that too!
Deep Fried Lobster Mac and Cheese with Smoked Bacon and Truffel Sauce ($9.95)
