Chef's Challenge pre event at Cirillo's Culinary Academy
I was invited to partake in a private cooking class with Chef John Cirillo which was a pre-event for Mount Sinai Hospital's 2012 Chef’s Challenge –the Ultimate Battle for the Cure.
2 years ago, I particiapted in the event, and since then has raised $2.27 million to sustain funding to breast and ovarian cancer research and education at the Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute and Marvelle Koffler Breast Centre at Mount Sinai Hospital. Along with h'orderves, we were served a glass (or a few in my case) of 09 Stratus Red, one of my favorites.
Pan fried salmon with spiced aioli on a bed of coleslaw and salad
Panko crusted lamb on sweet potato mash and heirloom carrots. (The lamb was my job!)
Pear tartlets with vanilla ice cream (not gonna lie, I had 2 portions of this)
